Yijing Zhang is a visiting fellow at Cornell Tech's Digital Life Initiative (DLI), mentored by Professor Helen Nissenbaum. Her research focuses on AI regulation, examining it particularly from a comparative law perspective. She is dedicated to exploring and addressing anti-discrimination issues in algorithms, emphasizing gender protection, consumer and worker rights, and representation of marginalized and underserved populations in digital society. As a Ph.D. candidate at Tsinghua University Law School in China, Yijing is utilizing her tenure at DLI to deepen her understanding of the legal frameworks that govern artificial intelligence and their impact on society, aiming to contribute to a more equitable and just digital future.
