Fabian is a doctoral candidate in the Information Science department at Cornell Tech. His research focuses on designing, building and evaluating behavior change technologies for developing regions of the world. He combines concepts from Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Behavioral Science, and the field of ICTD through fieldwork with target populations. As a Doctoral Fellow at DLI, Fabian will contribute to pressing discussions on designing equitable and privacy-aware beneficiary feedback systems for impoverished populations in Kenya. He hopes to enrich others’ perspectives by highlighting the societal tensions and cultural nuances that make innovation for developing countries messy and complicated.
