Erica Du is a Research Fellow at Cornell Tech's Digital Life Initiative, interested in privacy and power at the intersection of technology, data, and society. Her current research investigates fairness and accountability in decision making systems and machine learning algorithms. Before becoming a researcher, Erica worked as a software and data engineer at various tech companies, including Palantir Technologies, Google, and Codecademy. She received her M.Eng in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and B.S. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
