Ellen Abrams

DLI Visiting Fellow

Ellen is a historian of science and mathematics, specializing in science and technology studies and American cultural history. Her current research examines the organization and politics of knowledge production in digital societies, and she is currently working on a project that compares new forms of organizing in data-driven open sciences directed by Prof. Samer Faraj and Prof. Alberto Cambrosio at McGill University. She is also developing similar projects that explore the role of data and digital tools in legal, activist, and community-based settings. She is a Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University and a Visiting Fellow at Cornell Tech's Digital Life Initiative.
