Jacopo Arpetti is a PhD student at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he is currently looking into the competition issues and the relevant potential regulatory perspectives concerning big data, focusing on the electronic communications markets and also exploring emerging privacy issues in the wider digital context. Before becoming a PhD student, Jacopo has been a trainee for the Italian Communication Regulatory Authority, as well as for the Italian Antitrust Authority. He earned a master’s degree in Economics and a post-graduate degree on Innovation and Competition Law both at LUISS Guido Carli. In his master’s degree thesis, he focused on the economic outcomes of the Israeli mixed legal system, investigating the difficulties to frame this latter on the background of the stiff international classification criteria. He concluded his post-graduated master with a final dissertation concerning competitive dynamics and investments perspective in the Italian broadband market.
